Three weeks back I brought my pair of shih tzus to the veteran for a distemper injection. George weighs in at nineteen and a half pounds and Eve and sixteen and half lbs. What astuounds me is that they get so charged up leaving to see their animal doctor, they care for everybody fawning all over them. George saw the veteran at the beginning then Eve.

Eve sprinted back out when the veterinary doctor had completed examining her Nowadays, Eve began to throw up until all contents were out of her stomach. Our shih tzu laid down and wouldn't move. We were obviously worried at this stage and all we could do was wait and hope for the best. It went from bad to worse, she lost control of her bowl,and didn't seem to be able to concentrate on anything.

Our vet John was very quick off the market and got some steroids into our shitzu as fast as he could. Only time would inform whether this would have the desired outcome on the vaccination she had been given. The rate of her breathing was all over the place sometimes it was fast sometimes it was slow. We took her to a specialty hospital where she was admitted in grave state There was only so much John could do so we fetch her to a special hospital for pets. The following 24 hours were important and we didnt know if she would get better the night.

The dog clinic took very good care of her and made sure she got her endovenous drip and oxygen as well. Few people in the clinic were particularly optimistic about the possible outcome for our shih tzu dog . She spent most of the week in this hospital,being given fluids, plasma, antibiotics, and a lot of TLC.This response to the injection caused her to go into shock, along with puffiness and bleeding in her stomach and intestines.But, my little girl came through this, marvelously. She is on the mend at home.

Whilst recovering she looks to spend a lot of time drinking water and dozing off whilst she recovers each day. Her road to improve has been a tough one but she will be in normal state within a couple of weeks, of that I am 100 per cent positive. It is amazing how much I now know about these injections that are given to dogs, I spend a huge amount of time searching the on the net.

The shih tsu breed are most effected by these types of injections actually and it is not that unusual .For the last few weeks I have been campaigning to obtain full "full disclosure".It really cost us a lot of bucks we could ill afford to spend however we would do anything for our dog.I really consider strongly though that people should never have to see what happenned to us.
